Deadly Mistake is a 98,000 word novel that follows the story of two characters initially at odds with one another, but who find it necessary to form a tenuous partnership to solve a deadly mystery.

Mack is the leader of an elite commando team equipped with the latest high tech gear that gives them complete battlefield supremacy. The team has never lost a man, never lost a battle, until under suspicious circumstances they receive orders that cause the entire team to be killed. Only Mack survives and he has to unravel the web of deceit surrounding why the orders were given, was it conspiracy, and are they still after him.

Badar is an elitist gamer who's made millions in the competitive video game circuit. He's recruited to virtually direct the commando unit using his gaming skills. As a civilian contractor, he has aspirations to build his own empire within the military, but with the mission failure, and a dangerous hidden past that not even he knows about, he has to team up with Mack or suffer the consequences.

A former version of this book was entered into the 2008 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards contest and it was a semi-finalist.
